Brands Are Replacing Value

Filed under: Branding, Brands Are Replacing Value, Design & Branding — Baytech Web Design @ 10:53 am

Getting your branding right has been important before, but it may be becoming even more important that your brand is definitely connected to value, as well. A company’s brand identity needs to be equated with value, but many seem to be ignoring this point today.

The two things cannot really be separated. Customers buy based on brand recognition, but when a brand starts to lower its value, then brand loyalty may not be strong enough to keep them returning. Companies today are working to change their brand, or improve it, but some see it as something flexible – an innovation along with their products. For this reason, their brand is flexible and may not figure into quality product development, service, or pr.

What people need to see are products and service that consistently deliver – in spite of what the ads or company’s reputation has been in the past. Adding real worthwhile values to the company’s value system will also help the company to present an honest image, too – and keep it.

Changing times that are affecting everyone’s wallet should not mean a cheaper product or service. Instead, continue to deliver sound products and the best service and it will enable your brand to continue to be effective – and grow. A good branding strategy needs to continue to be based on the idea that the company’s name and products can be trusted – at all times.

  1. Branding means a lot of different things to different people. Basically, though, like you said, it should lead to people trusting your product and service.

  2. One of the key elements of building a brand is to care about the people you are making your products for. They can tell. They can also tell by how well complaints are handled, too. Companies that do right by their customers will soon have a powerful word of mouth campaign promoting their brand. That works.
